TisaKorean shares new EP ‘In Silly We Trust’
Following his recent Elevator Music performance, Houston rap staple and Pigeons & Planes 2024 Rising Artist to Watch TisaKorean has just shared his new EP In Silly We Trust — out now. In Silly We Trust follows recent singles “sTrUt nAtIoN” and “bEat uP dAt bOy”, the latter of which was praised by Rolling Stone, ESSENCE, and more.
The EP contains 12 tracks, boasts an appearance from TiaCorine as well as Don Toliver, and arrives on the heels of a momentous year for TisaKorean, who was lauded by Pitchfork in their “13 Best Concerts of 2023” ranking as well as their “Best Rap Songs of 2023” & “Best Songs of 2023” lists for “uHhH HuH.Mp3”. Recent months have seen the Texas dance rap phenom follow up last year’s Let Me Update My Status with full-length project MUMU 8818 and link with Mighty Bay for splashy summer jaunt “WhiteBoy Wasted” (3M Streams) after the success of their 2022 collab “PASTA” (50M Streams).
Hailing from Texas, TisaKorean first made waves with breakout single “Dip” (48M Streams), released in 2018. The momentum soon led to a watershed feature on Chance the Rapper‘s 2019 Murda Beatz-produced single “Groceries” (175M+ Streams), a collaboration with Kenny Beats, and a direct support slot on Don Toliver‘s 2023 Love Sick Tour following their joint track “Go Down” (45M Streams). Beloved for his playful personality, energetic sound, and colorful style, TisaKorean‘s viral success has since opened doors to brand partnerships with McDonald’s, Aéropostale, JUST Water, and New Balance. Now with In Silly We Trust, TisaKorean is making it clear that he’s just getting started — and leading the charge of Texas rap’s new wave in the process.
