Trippie Redd Dates Women By the Two in New Single “Sketchy”

Trippie Redd is entering a new era of his life and career, channeling his new experiences as a father and SoundCloud rap big bro into his music. The 26-year-old artist gives fans a taste of his music’s new scale, sharing the widescreen epic “Sketchy“. Produced by multi-Platinum Internet Money veteran Nick Mira, “Sketchy” features a signature soaring Tripie melody, this time accompanied by a choir of voices that add emphasis to his pronouncements and punchlines: “Everybody dead to me, apocalyptic/All of my guns got lasers, they futuristic/Caught so many bodies, you just another statistic/I can’t stop poppin’ them pills cause I’m nihilistic,” he spits. The song ends with a dramatic coda, during which the Ohio native reveals some of the pain behind his braggadocio: “My heart filled up with so much pain, don’t have no room for you.”

Directed by Cam Videos, Trippie’s video for “Sketchy” takes his lyrics literally, as he dates women “by the two,” taking them to an amusement park before wining and dining them at a fancy backyard restaurant. Following the apocalyptic “World Boss” and the DJ Drama-assisted 2-pack “Woke Up” / “The Face,” “Sketchy” is the latest single from Trippie’s upcoming album, NDA, arriving this Fall via a partnership between his longtime label 10K Projects and Atlantic Records.
