Ahead of NDA’s August 14 Arrival, Trippie Redd Shares the Euphoric “SWAGGER” Alongside a Haunting Music Video
Guided only by his creative impulses and sharply-defined sense of aesthetics, Trippie Redd never compromises, knowing that his loyal fans will follow and that the mainstream will have to meet him where he is at. The 27-year-old artist begins his late summer takeover, releasing “SWAGGER“ as he puts the finishing touches on NDA, his highly-anticipated next album. Earlier this week, Trippie dropped a trailer teasing the aesthetic of the album, filled with sharp blacks and striking whites and images of the natural world corrupted by vice and technology, ending with a snippet of “SWAGGER.” An epic, career-encompassing project that unifies the youthful firebrand that Trippie once was with the businessman and culture changer that he has become, NDA arrives on August 14th via 1400 / 10k / Atlantic.
Produced by JBone, southboy, and Igor Mamet, and featuring drops by DJ Whoo Kid, “SWAGGER” combines a sirenic synth melody with angelic vocal samples and propulsive trap percussion, laying the groundwork for Trippie to launch into his melodies and rhymes. Filling the beat’s negative spaces with soaring vocals, Trippie oozes the titular quality, delivering his outrageously confident verses with a series of mutating cadences: “Bad b*tch, I’m gonna put Rick on my body/Lil’ talkin’ ass’ll make me sick to my tummy,” he sings. Directed by Salty, “SWAGGER” follows Trippie into a haunted, Backrooms-inspired office complex, filled with white doves, goats, and pigs, warped, Cronenbergian sculptures, and a couple pledging vows to one another during a white wedding. Rocking a leather jacket, a Cossack-style fur cap, and a multi-faceted chain that stretches down to his oversized belt buckle, Trippie performs with aplomb, keeping the beat with his manicured nails (black polish, obviously) and doing his dance in defiance of his haunting background.

“SWAGGER” follows April’s “Paperbag Boy,” a collaboration with Young Thug, on the road to NDA. The superstar rapper kept busy in 2025 with a string of high-quality singles, including the defiant “Can’t Count Me Out,” produced Platinum-selling trap sound architect ATL Jacob, and the soaring Nick Mira-produced “Sketchy.” Trippie enjoyed viral success when his 2018 Diplo collaboration “Wish,” resurged thanks to the rediscovery of Trippie’s 2019 Audiomack Trap Symphony performance. Powered by an emotional social media trend, the original and orchestral versions of the song have generated over 1.2 million creations and over 8 billion views across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, leading to 1.5 million daily streams and 10.5 million weekly streams across platforms at its peak. In Fall 2025, more than seven years after its initial release, “Wish” reached the Billboard Hot 100, spending five weeks on the chart and peaking at #79.
A Diamond-certified global phenom, Trippie Redd remains one of the most prolific, genre-blurring voices of his generation. With more than 14 billion streams worldwide, he continues to shape modern rap’s emotional DNA through fearless experimentation and melody-driven storytelling.
