A note-perfect remake of the Go-Go’s iconic smash single, “We Got The Beat” features the show-stopping vocals of Valley Girl stars Jessica Rothe, Ashleigh Murray, Chloe Bennet and Jessie Ennis. With its carefree energy and unstoppably giddy mood, the track fully captures the spirit of the film. Set to a rock-and-roll ’80s soundtrack produced by the legendary GRAMMY® Award winner Harvey Mason, Jr. — and featuring dance numbers by choreographer Mandy Moore — Valley Girl is an update of the hit film that changed American teenage life forever.
Released by Orion Classics, Valley Girl also stars Josh Whitehouse, Mae Whitman, Rob Huebel, Judy Greer, Alicia Silverstone, and Camila Morrone. Valley Girl is directed by Emmy Award-winner Rachel Lee Goldenberg, written by Amy Talkington, and produced by Matt Smith and Steven J. Wolfe.
Julie (Jessica Rothe) is the ultimate ’80s valley girl. A creative free spirit, she spends most of her time with her best friends shopping at the Galleria mall and making plans for senior prom. That is, until she falls hard for Randy (Joshua Whitehouse): a Sunset Strip punk rocker who challenges everything Julie and the Valley stand for. Despite pushback from her friends and family, Julie must break free from the safety of her world, follow her heart, and discover what it really means to be a Valley Girl.
