WOESUM ANNOUNCES NEW EP PROTECTED DUE MARCH 14, NEW SINGLE + VISUALIZER “PROTECTED” – OUT NOW
Woesum, the pioneering Swedish producer, DJ, and artist, announces a new EP Protected arriving March 14th. He recently shared a taste of the upcoming project via a new single and visualizer also titled “Protected“, continuing his foray into ambient tech-house sounds seamlessly blended with his signature cloud-rap and plugg influences. Drawing undeniable inspiration from the late Swedish DJ and producer Avicii, the track embodies the rich sonic depth and intricate complexity that has become synonymous with Woesum’s works, showcasing his ability to push boundaries and create emotive, expansive soundscapes.
In support of the new music, Woesum will embark on a 13-date headline tour of Europe and Asia kicking off April 17th in his hometown of Stockholm with stops in London, Paris, Seoul, Beijing, and more. Please find more info and full routing below.
The new project follows last year’s Paradise Tree EP and his 2021 debut album Blue Summer, which garnered widespread praise and featured collaborations with Bladee, Yung Lean, Oklou, and more. Renowned for his contributions to projects such as evilgiane‘s #HEAVENSGATE vol. 1, Kamixlo’s debut album Cicatriz, and Pretty Sick’s Streetwise, Woesum has also played a crucial role in shaping the sound of influential music collectives Drain Gang and Sad Boys. Initially connected with Drain Gang and Sad Boys founding members Bladee, Yung Lean, Ecco2k, and Thaiboy Digital through Sweden’s underground rap scene, Woesum quickly became a go-to producer for the collective. His production is heard on Thaiboy’s genre-defining album Legendary Member and the fifth track off Yung Lean’s Frost God, projects that helped cement his reputation as an innovative force in both the rap and electronic music scenes.
