Industry outsiders, genre pioneers, style icons, underground superstars, emotional pop culture bellwethers – there are many ways to describe the mercurial Swedish stars Yung Lean & Bladee – the King of the Sad Boys and The Drain Gang General. Their respective Sad Boys and Drain Gang movements have steadily become household nomenclature over the last decade. For the first time ever the close friends and collaborators unite for a full-length project, the existential and soul-bearing Psykos

Melding the worlds of the two prolific artists, Psykos reflects the best moments of Bladee’s The Fool with the experimentation of Yung Lean’s post-punk inspired side project JonatanLeandoer127 and the intensity of his melancholic ballad “Agony” from 2017’s Stranger. Across the album, the two visionaries showcase their own masterful way of blending timeless melodies and poppy hooks with sound beds of ethereal physical instrumentation that feel like a disassociated symphony. An honest and clear-headed album of longing and love lost, Psykos is two artists at the peak of their powers, full of self-assurance – “we are the new gods,” as Bladee says on “Golden God.”

Yung Lean and Bladee have come a long way since they rose out of the fog of early 2010s YouTube and have shown incredible lasting power and influence on trends from fashion to music. Two of the greatest originators of their generation, hear them together for the first time on a joint full-length project.
