2RARE UNCOVERS CINEMATIC MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “HEARTBEAT” FT. LAKEYAH & ANN MARIE
Philadelphia’s 2Rare unveils the seductively slick music video for his new single “Heartbeat” featuring Lakeyah and Ann Marie via Second Estate/Warner Records.
The cinematic visual unfolds with a series of big screen-worthy twists and turns. It opens with 2Rare in the lap of luxury, performing poolside surrounded by models. However, his good fortune doesn’t last. A plot by unappreciated housekeepers takes hold as 2Rare hallucinates until we find out the truth. Of course, Lakeyah and Ann Marie make showstopping cameos of their own.
He initially dropped “Heartbeat” last week. Right out of the gate, it garnered critical acclaim. Beyond plugs from HipHopDX, Dirty Glove Bastard, and more, XXL applauded it among “The 13 Best New Hip-Hop Songs This Week.”
“Heartbeat” comes on the heels of 2Rare’s aspirational track “Congratulationz.” That was preceded by his similarly addictive single “C4” featuring Skilla Baby and Rob49. He also featured on the remix release of Gracie’s Corner’s “Veggie Dance,” which amassed over 2 million streams in three days.
Prior to that, 2Rare cranked up the voltage at Rolling Loud in Los Angeles, flaunting his customary showmanship while diving into his catalog, starting 2024 off right. Last year, he was named a 2023 XXL Freshman and appeared on NLE Choppa’s “Do It Again,” which has already gone RIAA Certified Gold.
