AMMI BOYZ RELEASE NEW VIDEO FOR HUMBLE REQUESTS
South-East London group Ammi Boyz have released a new video for It Dies Here cut “Humble Requests,” featuring Jadasea and produced by WTFOMARI!. Directed by Nigz TG and Krish Shardaa, it features the collective’s ode to South London shot by Nick Bourdeaux. The video is the last piece of their long awaited new project It Dies Here, their first in eight years, out now via Surf Gang Records. Ammi Boyz bring their trademark underground rap style and knack for curated collaboration to the forefront on It Dies Here, with Ammi Boyz founding member and producer WTFOMARI! and Surf Gang’s evilgiane on eight of its 14 songs between them. Dav1d, Daisy Maybe, YL, ayrtn, Jadasea, 300SkullsAndCounting, Harto Falión, Sam Akpro and HORNET take guest spots alongside Jawnino and Novelist. Ammi Boyz celebrated the release at Nightclub 101 featuring performances by Angels Pond, Omari Lyseight, Gaïaandlisaa, 0bwalla, and special guests.
Ammi Boyz confirmed their return in March in a sit-down with Clash, and in June P From Lee, Nigz TG and Omari Lyseight appeared on “GMT” from evilgiane’s #HEAVENSGATE VOL. 2. On July 20th The FADER profiled WTFOMARI!, the collective’s longtime producer Omari Lyseight, in its Opener column ahead of his Surf Gang Records project Digital. The group premiered “Riverside Apt” live at Earl Sweatshirt and MIKE’s sold-out Home On The Range show at EartH in Hackney, then released it with a video in September, their first single in eight years. On September 23rd they announced the project with “The Relay”, featuring Lewisham grime MC Novelist, and on October 5th they shared “Everything is the Same”, a spacey 3o production with Jawnino, who released the collaborative project amnesia with Surf Gang last December, on the hook. Ammi Boyz sequence “Everything is the Same” fourth, “Riverside Apt” ninth and “The Relay” eleventh on It Dies Here.
