Ana Gabriela Oquendo, one of the most prominent Ecuadorian motoring journalists, joins WWCOTY
From “En Curva” Magazine, Oquendo provides reliable and rigorous information on the automotive sector on a daily basis

The Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year (WWCOTY) is pleased to announce that Ana Gabriela Oquendo has joined its international jury, the only car award in the world with a jury composed exclusively of women motoring journalists.
Oquendo’s addition to WWCOTY, an organization present in 55 countries, strengthens the role of Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year in Latam where it is already present in many countries, including Ecuador. WWCOTY already has Judith Hernandez, from Autoin magazine, as a juror.
Currently, Ana Gabrielas works at En Curva magazine. It’s a specialized media that creates content about the Ecuadorian and global automotive sector. She undertakes test drives, vehicle reviews, comparisons and provides general content on mobility-related topics. She creates informative and engaging content in various formats.
Ana Gabriela Oquendo’s journey in the automotive world began in her childhood. Cars were always a big part of her family, particularly through her father, who always kept his car in the best condition. When she was a teenager, one of her brothers started studying Mechanical Engineering. He and her other brother started to repair their cars on their own, which sparked her interest in learning more about the automotive world.
“I’m truly honored to be part of WWCOTY. It’s a pleasure to share this space with other women and be part of an expert network in the automotive world. Additionally, I feel pride in the achievements I’ve accomplished through hard work. It’s definitely an exciting moment for me!”
