ÁNGELA AGUILAR RELEASES ‘BOLERO,’ A TIMELESS ALBUM

After achieving tremendous success with her Grammy^® and Latin GRAMMY^®-nominated mariachi albums, Ángela Aguilar unveils ‘BOLERO’ released by Machin Records/Virgin Music Group US Latin. This album comprises 9 timeless boleros that have significantly shaped the musical genre, now recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. With her indisputable vocal talent and a fresh approach, Ángela breathes new life into these classic songs, known for their poignant lyrics about love and heartbreak. The album, enriched with the musical sounds of percussion, guitars, bass, piano, violins, and the Mexican requinto, also features exclusive collaborations with Trio Los Panchosand renowned Cuban percussionist Amadito Valdés. ‘BOLERO,’ produced by Pepe Aguilar and Cheche Alara, invites new generations to rediscover and cherish the melodies that have enchanted many in the past.

Accompanying the album is a short documentary, crafted by Pepe Aguilar and Simon Fuller. This documentary showcases videos for 8 of the album’s songs, where Ángela delves into the lyrics, music, and history of the bolero genre. Alongside high-quality music and stunning landscapes, the documentary showcases Ángela’selegance, highlighted by spectacular dresses fromIANNDEY, made in Mexico by Mexican designers. The ‘Bolero’ short documentary will premiere exclusively in various cinemas in Mexico City and other Mexican cities, followed by a digital release on Ángela’s YouTube channel.
