With a rich and soulful voice equally suited to heartfelt singing and aggressive rhyming, Derez De’Shon is Atlanta’s secret superstar. Expertly weaving within bouncing bass, Derez issues a stern warning to lames on “Whaddup Doe,” his latest music video.

Produced by ATL sound architect London On Da Track, who hybridizes his southern swing with plenty of west coast influence on the beat, “Whaddup Doe” is purpose-built to bang in clubs from coast to coast. Featuring an appearance from Sac-town riser Mozzy, who delivers a typically drawly verse, the video finds the two rappers pouring up in the club, surrounded by models in a gold-hued background. “Whaddup Doe” is the latest video from Pain 2, Derez De’Shon’s latest project, released in December.
