BECAUSE BEAUBOURG CLOSES OUT WITH SURPRISE DJ SET BY THOMAS BANGALTER B2B FRED AGAIN

The surprise thrilled attendees at Because Beaubourg, the biggest event ever held at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, created in collaboration with pioneering independent label Because Music, celebrating its 20th anniversary.
On Saturday night in Paris, during the 100% Ed Banger Records event, Pedro Winter and Erol Alkan were performing a back-to-back set when Pedro invited global superstar DJ and producer Fred again.. to join them on stage. The excitement reached a new level when Thomas Bangalter — one half of the legendary Daft Punk — appeared, marking his first DJ appearance since 2009. The unexpected collaboration turned the evening into a true celebration of French electronic culture, thrilling several thousand spectators.
This historic moment capped off the Because Beaubourg event, a two day celebration that blended music, digital art, and immersive experiences, celebrating both Because Music’s 20th anniversary, and the launch of Centre Pompidou’s historic building renovation for five years (during which its collection will travel the world )
A total of 40,000 visitors explored the museum’s spaces, transformed through sensory installations and unique performances. The event featured no less than 82 artists and guests, with highlights including performances by Christine and the Queens, Sebastien Tellier, Shygirl, and 2 Many DJs, offering 37 concerts and performances, 27 hours of screenings, and 16 conferences. Attendees also experienced five immersive events, including Justice’s IRIS, Shay’s Jolie Garce Club, Shygirl’s Alias: A Sensory Exploration, & Thomas Bangalter’s CAMERA / MAN. In addition, the festival showcased 11 art installations, one pop-up store, and nine activities designed for children, and a Roller Disco.
