BMW of North America reported Q3 2026 sales results for the BMW and MINI brands in the U.S.
BMW.
During the third quarter of 2026, BMW sales totaled 100,210 vehicles, an increase of 3.4% compared with the 96,886 vehicles sold during the third quarter of 2025. Year-to-date, BMW sales total 287,154 vehicles, up 4.3% compared with the first nine months of 2025.
“We enter the fourth quarter in a strong position with good momentum, an exciting product portfolio, and the continued support of our dedicated dealer partners,” said Sebastian Mackensen, President & CEO, BMW of North America. “Response to the Neue Klasse has been very encouraging, and with even more new models arriving in the months ahead, we are confident we can carry this momentum through the end of the year and into 2027.”
Earlier this week, BMW debuted the all-new eighth-generation BMW 3 Series and fully electric BMW i3, both of which will begin arriving at U.S. dealerships early next year. The side-by-side debut of these two models highlights BMW’s technology-open approach, giving customers the freedom to choose the drivetrain that best meets their needs while underscoring the company’s belief in an electric future.
BMW Electrified Vehicles.
Sales of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles increased 23.2% in the third quarter and remained up 11.7% year-to-date. Overall electrified vehicle sales, including battery electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, declined 24.9% during the quarter, reflecting current market conditions and a planned model changeover. At the same time, preorder deliveries of the fully electric BMW iX3 and the new BMW i7 began contributing to battery electric vehicle sales.
MINI.
MINI sales totaled 6,531 vehicles during the third quarter, a decrease of 10.2% compared with the same period in 2025. Year-to-date MINI sales totaled 20,248 vehicles, a decrease of 7.4%.
