BREAKOUT PHENOMENON JERRY DI BREAKS MUSICAL BARRIERS WITH THE RELEASE OF “KATANA”
One of Latin music’s most promising breakout phenomenons, Jerry Di, once again exhibits his masterful artistry with the release of his latest single “Katana”.
With the release of “Katana,” produced by Neneto and Jerry Di and also written by the artist himself, Jerry Di continues to demonstrate his promise to bring an original sense of style and sound to every song he creates – this time putting a spotlight on his suave penmanship and endless creative abilities. The hauntingly captivating reggaeton seamlessly embodies its title, “Katana,” as the Venezuelan breakout star layers his signature vocalization over pronounced drum elements and dreamy Asian-influenced melodies – giving a little nod to DC Comics’ Katana. The sleek and minimalistic visualizer follows his mysterious female muse as she embraces the track throughout the scenes while highlighting the oriental beauty combined with the urbanism of Jerry Di’s hometown: Caracas, Venezuela.

Of the track, Jerry Di shares “It’s a song crafted for dancing and grooving like only the best Reggaeton tracks can make you do, with catchy oriental melodies that evoke memories of El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico’s song that talks in different ways about the peculiarity of a woman with almond-shaped eyes.”
Recently, the Caracas-born singer and songwriter unveiled the first chapter of his artistry with the release of ASILO COLLECTIONS: VOL. 1 – NEGACIÓN.’ The anticipated compilation EP sees Jerry Di dive into an introspective journey within, reflecting on the trials and tribulations he’s encountered throughout his career – what has shaped the artist he is today. ‘ASILO’ portrays the moment “when you don’t belong anywhere and the need for a shelter arises, so you take refuge in your past and in your future, in your fears and in your ideas… looking for security in the known.” – Jerry Di via Instagram.
Last month, the Caracas-born singer and songwriter made history as Karol G’s special guest during her Venezuela concert and brought power hit “CARACAS EN EL 2000”– originally by Elena Rose, Danny Ocean, and Jerry Di – to life with a performance alongside the Colombian star.
Jerry Di continues to unravel his unique approach to music and boasts a refreshing artistic vision – proving time and time again that he is ready to conquer global stardom as the world longs for more.
