British Pop star Anne-Marie hopped on stage in Detroit and maintained the same level of
energy though her whole set. Opening with her song “Cry” she bopped around the small stage of The Shelter enthusiastically, and you could tell she was actually enjoying herself.

The 27-year-old singer performed to a sold out crowd, however those in the crowd numbered only over a bit over 100 people. The show was originally scheduled to be held at St Andrews Hall, a venue with a capacity of 1,000. However, it would appear to low ticket sales the show was moved to The Shelter, a smaller venue below St. Andrews. The small show  crowd came as a surprise, as Ann-Marie has over 29 million Spotify monthly listeners and 2.8 million Instagram followers. Additionally, her popularity grows daily as she is currently on an international tour with Ed Sheeran as his opening act.

While the crowd and venue were smaller, this allowed the show to feel much more
intimate. The crowd, mostly older teens and young adults, sang along and danced to every song. Anne-Marie performed 12 songs total, including her hit songs “friends” which she did with Marshmello, and her multi-platinum song “Rockabye” produced by Clean Bandit. The concert was surprisingly short, only one-hour long. However, Anne-Marie’s high energy, charm, and strong stage presence allowed her to deliver an enjoyable and memorable performance.
