BUZZING 17-YEAR-OLD ARTIST TY MYERS CONTINUES BREAKOUT YEAR WITH NEW SINGLE “WORRY IS A SICKNESS” OUT NOW
In the fast lane towards a huge breakthrough, rising 17-year-old singer, songwriter, and guitarist Ty Myers has shared a brand-new single entitled “Worry Is A Sickness”. The song also arrives alongside a lyric video that features footage of Ty live on tour and also some behind the scenes of recording the song.
“This song means a lot to me,” says Ty. “Not only did I live this one, but it is a sneak peak of what’s to come from me musically, so I hope people enjoy it!”
The song revolves around airy slide, a steady beat, his soulfully smoldering verses, and fluid and fiery blues guitar. Setting the scene right away, you can practically hear the heartache in his delivery. He confesses, “I’ve got a woman on my mind. She’s been on it for three days and nights now,” going on to lament, “I can’t help but wonder if she’s moving on.” His voice resounds on an undeniable and unshakable chorus, while he ignites a string-scorching solo punctuated by the same level of unrestrained emotion.
It lands in the wake of his buzzing single “Let ‘Em Talk,” which has already drawn over 4 million streams and views to date. Beyond recent plugs from Variety and more, Austin Chronicle just hailed his music as “country to the bone, with lyrics that pack an emotional punch.”
Ty’s headlining Let ‘Em Talk Tour is currently underway and over 50% sold out. The 19-date run kicked off on September 5 and runs through November 8 with more touring to round out 2024. See full routing below and visit https://www.tymyersmusic.com/ for more information.
Born just outside of Austin, Texas, Ty Myers grew up on a cattle ranch owned by his family for more than six generations. He clung on to music as a kid and never let go, obsessing over an expansive range of artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Bill Withers, and Otis Redding to Chris Stapleton and George Strait. Devoting every waking minute to writing songs and playing music, he gave up baseball and football and opted for homeschooling in order to wholeheartedly pursue his dream. During 2023, he made waves with his debut single “Tie That Binds,” gaining traction organically and generating over 7 million Spotify streams. On its heels, “Drinkin’ Alone” exploded with over 15 million Spotify streams and counting. Between packing houses in his home state and sharing the stage with Willie Nelson, he has performed countless sold out shows across the states and just wrapped up dates on Wade Bowen and Randy Rogers Band’s Hold My Beer Tour.
