CAMILA FERNÁNDEZ SOLIDIFIES HER PLACE WITH ‘LA FERNÁNDEZ’

Camila Fernández is ready to inscribe her name in the great book of national tradition with La Fernández, an album that reaffirms her as one of the most powerful voices in contemporary Mexican music while positioning her as a potential ambassador of that culture around the world.

If proof is needed, one standout track says it all: “La Loca Era Yo,” a searing ranchera ballad in which Camila sings to the man who treated her with coldness and little enthusiasm during their relationship—only to reveal, as one verse declares, that he has now changed into an admirable man.

Backed by the signature sound of mariachi, La Fernández delivers another heartbreak anthem that many women (and quite a few men) will relate to—the all-too-familiar story of a partner who, after leaving, suddenly decides to do everything they couldn’t (or wouldn’t) do to save the relationship.

Fittingly, the official video for “La Loca Era Yo” traces a tale of transformation and revenge: it opens with Camila driving through the pain, and as the song—and the car—move forward, she changes both her look and her attitude, ending fully empowered outside the house of the man who failed to value her, now confronted by the song’s razor-sharp verses.

It’s worth noting that, beyond this song and the previous singles, La Fernández also features two previously unreleased tracks: “De Llorar Se Cansaron Mis Ojos,” where sorrow gives way to resignation, and “Lo Sabía,” a love confession delivered with all the intensity of the ranchera tradition.

Camila continues as part of the successful “De Rey A Rey” tour, sharing the stage with her father, Alejandro Fernández, along with a series of solo performances.

Throughout these shows, Camila has proven her ability to move audiences—an experience that can still be enjoyed during the tour’s final dates, listed below:
