Cash Cobain releases new video single “Betcha Can’t” with BabyChiefDoIt

NYC trendsetter Cash Cobain has just shared his new video single “Betcha Can’t” featuring BabyChiefDoIt. This record showcases Cash yet again adapting another style in his musical arsenal, this time incorporating the sounds of snap music by sampling & reimagining D4L’s club anthem “Laffy Taffy”. Over an instrumental centralized on a simple snap arrangement, Cash draws listeners in with an ear-worm hook and cheeky one-liners, declaring his separation from the rest of the pack. Chicago teen sensation BabyChiefDoIt adds a jet-fueled, lightning hot flair to the single and asserts the unity between the magnetic duo. The track is accompanied by a video directed by MOSHPXT and Jay Jay Thakar. Both of the rappers call back to snap music of ATL 2000’s, featuring oversized fits and coordinated dance moves, and there are plenty of girls and even a pillow fight for good measure. This is the follow up to Cash’s fan-favorite release “I Wanna Rock” earlier this summer, his iconic Blue Note performance in Los Angeles, his spot in a new Amazon Prime commercial, and of course, a perfect lead in to his long awaited LP Party With Slizzy, which is due for release this year.

This single arrives on the heels of massive collaborations for Cash over the past year, including linking with Drake on “Someone Loves Me Pt. 2”, Justin Bieber on title track of Bieber’s Grammy Nominated album SWAG and “Better Than You” on Cardi B’s I Am The Drama (she also brought him out at her MSG stop). He also dropped a run of back-to-back singles, “Hoes Be Mad 2.0” (feat. YKNIECE, BunnaB, Loe Shimmy & ZEDDY WILL), “Feeeeeeeeel” (which spawned a massive viral dance trend and a COLORS SHOW performance), “Sick N Tired“ (feat. OnlyHeaven), and “Trippin On A Yacht” (feat. Rob49 and Bay Swag). Play Cash Cobain & its subsequent hit “Fisherrr” (feat. Bay Swag & Ice Spice) (77M Streams), cemented him into the upper echelon of music as both a rapper and producer, as it was hailed by Rolling Stone, NPR, Vulture, Pitchfork, and Billboard as some of the best music of 2024 and was awarded the #1 song of 2024 by The New York Times.
