A decorated lyricist with an unimpeachable work ethic, Conway The Machine cranks out rhymes with impeccable craft at a regular clip. Ready to remind the world of the power of his pen, the prolific Buffalo native prepares his next solo album, You Can’t Kill God With Bullets, coming December 12th via Drumwork Music Group / Roc Nation Distribution. The proper follow-up to 2024’s Slant Face Killah, You Can’t Kill God With Bullets is one of Conway’s most ambitious and expansive albums to date.

Along with the announcement of the album, Conway shares his new single, “Diamonds,” his new single. Produced by Conductor Williams, the song is a lyrical showcase for two of rap’s finest wordsmiths, as Conway trades refined bars with Roc Marciano, reeling off quotable after quotable in rapid succession: “Make him sing like Teddy Riley in Blackstreet, no diggity/N****s copying my steez, want my shine but it’s no biggie to me,” says Roc Marci, and Conway adds, “More like a modern day Carlito/I torpedoed, to the top of the game without a gold single.” Highlighted by Conductor’s jazzy horns and Conway’s charmingly melodic hook, “Diamonds” indicates the elevated wordplay that The Machine brings to the upcoming album.

Conway  looks to make a major statement with You Can’t Kill God With Bullets. The album follows in the footsteps of acclaimed solo works like 2024’s Slant Face Killah, 2023’s Won’t He Do It, 2022’s God Don’t Make Mistakes, and 2021’s La Maquina. Always keeping busy, the prolific rapper also released multiple collaborative projects in 2024, teaming with Ransom and V Don for Chaos Is My Ladder 2, and tapping close associate 38 Spesh and producer Big Ghost Ltd. for the latest edition of the Speshal Machinery mixtape series: Special Machinery: The Ghronic Edition.

A consummate hustler and survivalist, Conway overcame a rough past–including surviving multiple gunshot wounds to his head and neck–to become one of rap’s most respected lyricists. Now the leader of his own Drumwork Music Group, Conway is ready to remind the rap game that he can stand up to the greats.
