CORNELIA JAKOBS STOPS ON EUROPEAN TOUR AT MASCHINENHAUS IN BERLIN

The Swedish singer and songwriter Cornelia Jakobs stopped on her European “the dragon“ tour in Berlin for a powerful show at Maschinenhaus. 

Entering the small venue and being welcomed by the back screen featuring her heart shaped logo, the room was already completely filled with her colorful and versatile fanbase of every age, sitting and standing in front of the stage waiting patiently for Cornelia to enter the stage.

Even though the evening was relatively short, as she was touring without support, she managed to fill the room with high emotion and high energy that drew her fans right along with her.

The Swedish Grammi Award winner offered a setlist filled with faster and slower songs, that carried her fans away from the start and encourage them to sing and dance along, also showing off her catchy pop-rock soundscapes and her strong and smoky voice. 

The setlist also included her fan-favorite song “Hold Me Closer“, with which she also competed in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest. She also played her popular songs like “Rise“, her latest single “Need You Now“ and “Bloody Mind“, the song she chose in her appearance in Songland, a show where young and upcoming songwriters pitch their songs to musicians. As well as a feature of a unreleased song, that her fans were already actively singing along to. Her performance was also accompanied by videos and animations on the back screen, which visually underlined the songs and made the show even more impressive and rousing.

She also, over the course of her entire set, made sure that her fans felt seen and included, telling them to come closer to the stage, making eye contact and reaching her hand out many times as well as animating them to dance and sing along. 

With the good atmosphere from start to finish and though the show felt a bit cut short, it was very well rounded and left the audience delighted.
