JaYy Wick, the Florida standout whose own country-rap breakout single, “Pork Chop Sammich,” made waves within the subgenre last year, joins Ray on his latest expedition, matching energies and peppering his verse with fascinating autobiographical notes. It’s hard to envision a more seamless tandem.

As the summer heats up, so does Jamie Ray, who has had a measured approach to releasing music lately. Riding high off the momentum of SIXER and SIXER 2, which kept the country trap specialist in headlines for much of 2025, “Chicken” marks just his second single of the year.
