Rising singer-songwriter and guitarist Dylan Cotrone is back with a radiant new single, “Weekend Religion”. Dylan shares: “I grew up religious, and I still am. But for most of my life, I was also laser-focused on sports and academics—I never partied, never cursed, never really stepped out of line. That all changed when I quit sports my freshman year of college. Suddenly I had freedom, no rules, no guidance, and I took it too far. I lost myself in partying and ended up leaving school early to move back home and reset.”

He continues: “Now that I’m back in my hometown, I don’t party like I used to—but I still live for the weekends. ‘Weekend Religion’ is about that ritual with your lifelong friends, where no matter how tough the week’s been, someone texts in the group chat around 5 p.m. on Friday asking, ‘What’s the plan?’ And we always end up at the same beach bars, doing the same thing we’ve done for years—laughing, drinking, talking life. It’s like our version of church. It keeps us grounded, gives us something to look forward to, and reminds us who we are.”

“Weekend Religion” follows Dylan’s recent single, “Florida California (State of Mind),” and kicks off a new era of music that blends introspective lyrics with sunlit, coastal soundscapes. He’s riding the wave of momentum built in 2024 with his debut EP title track “Dog House,” the fan-favorite “Lazy,” and the standout single “Remedies,” which helped him rack up millions of streams and social views.
