Electrifying TOOSII Unleashes HIS FIRST SINGLE OF 2024 “WHERE YOU BEEN
Toosii’s Debut Album NAUJOUR Goes Gold And
“Favorite Song” Is Certified 4X Platinum By RIAA
Toosii, the hitmaker with four Platinum records to his name, grapples with issues of trust in his first single of 2024, the captivating and intense “Where You Been”, released through South Coast Music Group/Capitol Records. Over a backdrop of measured beats and a graceful, soulful guitar, he reveals his inner thoughts – “Girl we haven’t talked in a while / I been wondering / Where you been / Please don’t make me come and / Go through that phone see where you been.” The track was penned by Toosii in collaboration with D.A. Got That Dope (DaBaby, Kodak Black, Tyga), who also took on the role of producer. In the official video, Toosii is seen immersing himself in the lively streets of New York City, rekindling old relationships, but the night concludes with an unexpected revelation. The video was directed by Hidji World (Nas, Future, A$AP Rocky).
As Toosii celebrated the first anniversary of his debut album NAUJOUR earlier this month, he reached two notable milestones – the RIAA awarded the album Gold certification and its hit single, “Favorite Song,” achieved 4x Platinum status. “Favorite Song” climbed to No. 1 on the Rhythm & Urban radio charts and broke into the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 following the release of remixes featuring Khalid and Future.
The track, which Toosii performed on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “Good Morning America,” and the Season 23 finale of “The Voice,” received nominations for an MTV VMA for Best R&B Song, a Billboard Music Award for Top Rap Song, and two Soul Train Awards (Song Of The Year and The Ashford And Simpson Songwriter’s Award).

On June 21, Toosii is set to perform at Summerfest in Milwaukee. His sold-out 2023 headline tour confirmed his standing as one of hip-hop’s most sought-after live performers, and he ended the year performing in arenas across the U.S. as one of the opening acts on Rod Wave’s Nostalgia Tour. Billboard proclaimed, “Toosii is coming for the crown.” HipHopDX noted, “A leader in the newest generation of artists fusing Hip Hop and R&B, Toosii continues to solidify his burgeoning potential.” Variety included Toosii in its esteemed Power of Young Hollywood issue and recounted the remarkable journey of “Favorite Song” from a viral sensation to a chart-topping hit in its Hitmakers issue.
