ESPN presents US Open Women’s Semifinals

ESPN, US Open, Sports, Tennis, Sports News, Sports Entertainment

ESPN’s exclusive coverage of the US Open continues Thursday, Sept. 10 with the Women’s Semifinals. Since the Open era began in 1968, this is the second time the US Open’s women’s semifinals will feature each of the tournament’s top 4 seeds. Coverage will be presented on ESPN, ESPN Deportes (Spanish) and streaming on the ESPN App for ESPN Unlimited subscribers.

The first Women’s Semifinal match starting at 7 p.m. ET features four-time Grand Slam champion No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka vs. No. 3 Jessica Pegula (USA). Sabalenka is making her sixth straight US Open semifinal appearance as she continues her bid for a 3-peat. Pegula, the 2024 US Open finalist and a semifinalist last year, is seeking her second Grand Slam final after reaching the Australian Open semifinals earlier this year.

Patrick McEnroe and Caroline Wozniacki will call the match, with Chris Eubanks reporting courtside.

The second semifinal features No. 2 Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan against No. 4 Coco Gauff, with both players seeking their third major title. Rybakina, the 2026 Australian Open champion, ascended to No. 1 following her win on Wednesday. Gauff enters the matchup after claiming one of the summer’s biggest lead-up titles in Cincinnati, the American’s first title of the year and the fourth WTA 1000 title of her career.

Chris Fowler and Mary Joe Fernandez will call the match, with Chris Eubanks reporting courtside.

Women’s Doubles Championship Friday, Sept. 11

Beginning Friday at noon ET on ESPN2 and streaming on the ESPN App, the Women’s Doubles Championship will be decided between No.1 seeds Katerina Siniakova (CZE) and Taylor Townsend (USA) vs. Ashlyn Krueger (USA) and Robin Montgomery (USA).

Jason Goodall and CoCo Vandeweghe will call the match, with Chris Eubanks reporting courtside.

US Open Men’s Semifinal coverage begins on Friday, Sept. 11 at 3 p.m. on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and streaming on the ESPN App.
