Rising Louisville star EST GEE dropped a new single “Capitol 1,” which is set to appear on his forthcoming mixtape and available to stream on all platforms HERE via CMG/Warlike/Interscope Records. The single, produced by Southside of 808Mafia, highlights Gee’s versatile flow as he bodies a skittering beat while delivering punchy and potent hooks.
Gee also delivered a music video to accompany the new song, which reflects the gritty and dynamic energy of the song. Watch the Diesel Films-directed video for “Capitol 1″ below.
Earlier this month, Gee released “Bigger Than Life or Death,” which has earned rave reviews from several media publications. UPROXX claimed, “Louisville, Kentucky upstart EST GEE has been primed to blow” while The FADER named it one of “10 songs you need in your life this week.” He also crashed the Rolling Stone Breakthrough 25 at No. 15. Meanwhile, his buzzing mixtape, I Still Don’t Feel Nun, peaked at #1 on the Billboard Heatseeker Albums Chart and just returned to #3.
The slew of releases serves as yet another achievement for the newcomer, who is set to make his major-festival debut at Rolling Loud Miami and Made In America. 2021 has proven to be a banner year for Gee, considering he earned his first Billboard Hot 100 with his acclaimed collaboration with Lil Baby on “Real As It Gets” and made his nationally-televised debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! alongside Jack Harlow to perform “Route 66.”
Prior to teaming up with the Baby and Jack, Gee shared his label debut mixtape, I Still Don’t Feel Nun, which includes collaborations with CMG CEO, Yo Gotti as well as Moneybagg Yo, Jack Harlow, Kevin Gates and 42 Dugg, among many others. On the 16-track body of work, Gee showcased his natural rapping ability and quickly asserted himself as a viciously versatile force.
