Alabama rapper FattMack has just returned with the release of his new single “5 Minutes” – out now via Great Day Records / Santa Anna, along with an accompanying music video. Diving deeper into the reflective, conflicted side of FattMack‘s growing artistry, “5 Minutes” is an introspective ballad that finds him openly wrestling with the role of the women in his life and the emotional weight that comes with artistic growth. “5 Minutes” also sets a new emotional tone for FattMack as he continues his breakout 2025 year and reveals another glimpse into the deeply personal themes across his forthcoming self-titled album MCKENZIE, which is due out on December 12th and will serve as his third full-length release of the year.

Created with his core team Link With Trev and WickedMCKENZIE promises a raw look at FattMack‘s journey from his childhood and upbringing in Alabama to his newly-embraced fatherhood. The new release of “5 Minutes” is the latest in FattMack‘s recent run of standout singles that also includes “IRL” (2.5M+ streams), “2 Redbones” (feat. MGM Snipe), and the slow-burning success of “I Admit It” (1.5M+ Streams), all of which have helped to anchor a breakthrough year for FattMack. In the past several months alone, FattMack has earned a spotlight from XXL for The Break, appeared on the Charlotte stop of NBA YoungBoy’s viral MASA Arena Tour, was recently crowned as SoundCloud‘s Ascending Artist of the Month for November and has delivered two major projects — Untreated Trauma, featuring G Herbo and TopOppGen, and Here to Stay, home to streaming standouts “Hit It” (feat. Lil Tony Official) [7M+ streams] and “Fake Love” (feat. Raq baby & BAK Jay) [2M+ streams]. With features from Jay MontanaNoodah05Big YavoTopOppGenLil Rae and MGM Lett, the follow-up MCKENZIE is due out on December 12th.

Between 2023 and 2024, FattMack released a series of self-issued projects, including FattMoney Music Murder, and Mr. Did It By Hisself 2. Off Money Music Murder came “BLRDDD” (12M+ Streams), his most-streamed song to date and a flip of Mac DeMarco’s “Chamber of Reflection”, establishing a common theme of alternative samples throughout his catalogue. After signing to indie labels Great Day Records and Santa Anna, he released TMK in 2024 as his label debut, followed in 2025 by two more full-length albums, the aforementioned Here to Stay and Untreated Trauma. Over the past year, FattMack re-located to Atlanta, finding himself in an endlessly supportive creative environment for collaboration. berthing the forthcoming album MCKENZIE. The move coincided with the birth of his daughter, a turning point that reshaped his priorities and added another level of depth to his writing. All of this momentum eventually led to a surprise opening slot for NBA YoungBoy on the Charlotte stop of his sold-out nationwide MASA Tour – a moment that saw him make the jump from regional power to national superstar.
