GRAMMY® AWARD-NOMINATED SONGSTRESS ALEX ISLEY SOARS ON STUNNING NEW LIVE FROM NPR’S TINY DESK EP

Continuing a steady rise as a soft-spoken powerhouse, GRAMMY®-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer Alex Isley enchants and electrifies with her brand new Live From NPR’s Tiny Desk EP out now via Warner Records. On all DSPs for the first time, the nine-track collection captures all of the soul, style, and spirit of her popular Tiny Desk concert in June 2025, which has generated over 648K YouTube views and counting thus far.

Accompanied by a band and background vocalists Nelson Beato, Muhsinah, and Astyn Turr, she brings full-bodied power to performances of three songs from her recently acclaimed WHEN EP, including “Mic On,” “Hands,” and “Thank You For A Lovely Time.” Global phenomenon Masego notably pulled up to duet with Alex on a particularly incendiary and irresistible rendition of their signature collaboration, “Good & Plenty,” breaking down the track to its bare essentials, reconstructing it live, and serving up a definitive version together. 

Ultimately, Live From NPR’s Tiny Desk impressively illuminates her star-power, energy, and talent all at once.

Of course, it lands in the wake of WHEN. A masterclass in soulful vulnerability and sensual restraint, WHEN is Alex at her most refined and revelatory. The seven-track project includes the hypnotic focus track “Mic On,” produced by GRAMMY®-winning artist Kaytranada, and showcases production from the acclaimed Camper(Brandy, H.E.R., Coco Jones), adding new layers of texture and intention to Alex’s signature sound. Listen HERE.

Alex previously shared the slow-burning gem “Hands,” an intimate track that invites listeners into a dreamlike world of longing and deep connection. The single received overwhelming praise from outlets such as Billboard, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Tonight, Essence, ELLE, Rated R&B, and VIBE, among others. Her most recently released rendition of “Thank You For A Lovely Time” with Raphael Saddiq was also met with immense critical acclaim and social chatter for their natural chemistry in the studio.

The new EP followed Alex’s joint album, I Left My Heart In Ladera (2023), with producer and musician Terrace Martin. The collaborative release earned Alex her first Billboard entry, debuting at No. 2 on the Contemporary Jazz Albums chart.
