HUDSON STONE ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE, “TALK,” SET FOR RELEASE SEPTEMBER 24!
Rising star Hudson Stone announced his brand-new single, “Talk”, is set for release September 24 on the eve he embarks on his first arena tour, the Worlds Collide Concert Tour!
Written by Stone along with Josh Varnadore (One Republic), Coleton Rubin (One Republic) and Simon Oscroft (almost monday, One Republic), “Talk” takes on the distance between loving someone and being able to talk to them.
Said Hudson Stone, “Talk is about knowing that you love someone so much that you sometimes overlook the most beautiful and most important part of a relationship, the ability to communicate. At the time I wrote this song, I was in a relationship that was complicated. I felt like no matter how much I put in energetically and how hard I loved, it got lost in emotional static. I’ve heard men and women historically speak different languages by nature and I’m learning that may be really true. Some important values were not met. But sometimes it’s also that when you are just trying to be heard the listening part doesn’t work great. OR, sometimes you just don’t want to hear what’s actually being said. Or not said. Love is confusing.”
“Talk” is the perfect follow-up to Hudson’s debut single, “Overthinker,” which has already amassed nearly 2 million streams and earned early acclaim as one of “Rolling Stone’s” “Songs You Need To Know.” The throughline for both singles demonstrate Hudson’s knack for writing relatable songs in a catchy and clever way that keeps listeners singing his songs on repeat.
Following an exciting summer with his first movie premiere in “Camp Rock 3,” starring in the role of “Desi,” Hudson’ autumn is equally jam-packed. “Talk” is set for release on the eve of his arena tour on the Worlds Collide Concert Tour kicking off on September 25 in Palm Desert at Acrisure Arena. Hudson Stone recently signed to Hollywood Records, and will be releasing more new music soon.
Truly an old soul at heart, Hudson is inspired by such artists as Dominic Fike, John Mayer, The Strokes and Leon Bridges. That inspiration helped define Hudson’s sound – effortless, grungy, guitar-centric songwriting and storytelling, modernized classic indie music, soulfulness and warmth. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Hudson picked up a guitar a five years old and hasn’t put it down since. With an Australian father, and a half-Korean mother, his world has always been shaped by a mix of cultures and influences. On any given day you’re likely to find him studying for a calculus final, watching a Dallas Cowboys game or surfing in Malibu.
