HUDSON WESTBROOK RETURNS WITH “HITS ME”
River House Artists / Warner Records Nashville’s Texas country breakout Hudson Westbrook previews his next chapter of new music, delivering a poignant dose of heartache on new single, “Hits Me”.
Penned by Westbrook with Dan Alley and Ryan Beaver, “Hits Me” opens with the simple satisfaction of a cold beer after a job well done. The track quickly gives way to a sharp-edged loneliness backed by Westbrook’s emotive vocals:

I got a week’s worth of work all done
It’s been a good day
A cold beer and a settin’ sun
And just when I think I have it under control, little do I ever know
That’s when it hits me
Lonely with a side of misery
I’m laying in bed and I’m up in my head with the words that you said on repeat

Just when I think I’m finally through and the me missing you might miss me
Yeah, that’s when it hits me
The single arrives alongside its official music video, directed by Emma Kate Golden and filmed in Marfa, Texas. Opening in an old bar with Westbrook sitting alone, he watches memories and flashbacks of a past relationship play out around him. As the video unfolds, Westbrook watches it all play out, lonely against the backdrop of striking Texas scenery.
Westbrook recently wrapped a nationwide run supporting Bailey Zimmerman’s Different Night, Same Rodeo arena tour and is currently opening select dates of Morgan Wallen’s Still The Problem Tour. The burgeoning riser is also headlining his own tour dates, bringing his live show to fans across festivals, fairs, and rodeos throughout the summer and fall.
