JOAQUINA RELEASES A SPECIAL EDITION OF HER GRAMMY NOMINATED EP ‘LOS MEJORES AÑOS’

LOS MEJORES AÑOS (NOTAS DE DIARIO)’ IS A RE-EDITION THAT OFFERS AN INTIMATE VIEW OF HER CREATIVE JOURNEY THUS FAR

Joaquina, Latin GRAMMY winner of this year’s Best New Artist and the youngest to be nominated for Best Singer-Songwriter Album, surprises fans with the re-edition of her EP ‘LOS MEJORES AÑOS’ in a special version titled ‘LOS MEJORES AÑOS (NOTAS DE DIARIO).’ This new release is a repack of the original EP offering a more intimate and personal experience that unveils the artist’s unique creative process.

This re-edition presents a collection of songs mostly written by Joaquina and some co-written with producer Julio Reyes.

Beyond being an EP, ‘LOS MEJORES AÑOS (NOTAS DE DIARIO)’ embodies Joaquina’s musical diary, enriched through the incorporation of demos and voice notes. These elements offer an intimate view of her creative process, capturing moments from the initial songwriting to studio sessions with Julio, providing followers with exclusive access to Joaquina’s creative journey.

The focus track, “Los Mejores Años,” is a nostalgic journey reflecting a pivotal moment in Joaquina’s life. The artist shares that, while she has grown and evolved since then, this song remains deeply personal and rooted in her identity as an artist. 

The revamped cover of the EP mirrors Joaquina’s artistic and personal progress, in sync with her creative development over the past year. This period marked a significant change in her compositional approach. Joaquina has discovered her essence, representing just the beginning of an ever-evolving journey. She has gained greater flexibility and agility in writing, strengthened her self-confidence and expanded her vocabulary, exploring new perspectives in her art. These changes reflect her growth both as an artist and in her daily life.

In Joaquina’s words, “This EP is the beginning of everything. I know this is when I will truly start to evolve and grow, but I didn’t want the year to end without sincerely thanking everyone who has been with me from the start, supporting me in my career.”
