Jon Stewart talks to Safi Rauf about being captured by the Taliban and rescuing Afghan allies in a new podcast episode

The latest episode of the Apple Original podcast “The Problem With Jon Stewart” is now live on Apple Podcasts, with a video of the interview on the series’ YouTube channel.

In the episode “I Was Kidnapped by the Taliban: Safi Rauf on Rescuing Afghan Allies,” Jon is joined by Safi Rauf, an Afghan refugee who came to the U.S. as a teen and is now the president and founder of Human First Coalition. Also a veteran, he explains his work in Afghanistan helping to evacuate local interpreters who supported American troops and shares the astonishing story of how he was taken hostage—and eventually released—by the Taliban while working there. Safi then details the importance of the Afghan Adjustment Act and the obstacles he’s run into while advocating for it.
