KASBO SHARES ‘I GET YOU (FAKEAR REMIX)’ / OUT NOW ON COUNTER RECORDS
Swedish artist and producer Kasbo shares a remix of his popular 2019 single ‘I Get You’ by fellow Counter Records artist and producer Fakear. On the remix Kasbo’s masterful production skills, cinematic compositions and atmospheric melodies are met with Fakear’s darker, house driven basslines, out now on Counter Records.
“I love Kasbo’s work, and for this one I wanted to go the opposite direction” Speaks Fakear on the track. “I chose this big housy bassline because I wanted to question the sunny, peaceful side of the original song. I wanted to wake up the dark side of it, the weirdness. The voice is struggling to get to the front, and finally the song got back its brightness at the end, tearing down the darkness. Yes, this song is a big superhero movie to me!”.
“Really happy to have my friend fakear do a remix of I get you. He’s a talented artist who I’ve been following for a long time” comments Kasbo. “Touring Europe together with Odesza last year was a blast and honored to have him on a track” .
Kasbo has become a dominant force in the global electronic space. Since the release of his debut album “Places We Don’t Know”, he’s earned peak performance slots on premier North American festivals including Coachella, Firefly, Life Is Beautiful and more. His ethereal sound has made a lasting impression on listeners, garnering a whopping 200 million streams across Spotify alone, and a #1 spot on the iTunes Electronic charts. Prior to releasing his massive remix of Ed Sheeran’s “Happier,” Kasbo was featured on Billboard’s “Ones To Watch” list. Last year he embarked on his own U.S. headline run, selling out marquee venues like NYC’s Bowery Ballroom, LA’s Fonda and more and is currently back in the studio working on new music.
