KAYTRANADA returns to share SBTRKT‘s remix of AIN’T NO DAMN WAY! highlight “SPACE INVADER”. The enigmatic British producer flips the funk shuffle of the original into a decidedly uptempo, dance floor-ready track.
The release comes on the heels of KAYTRANADA recently announcing a co-headline tour presented by Live Nation with Justice that kicks off in mid-October and sees the pair of dance music icons traverse North America over the course of a month. This past August, KAYTRANADA released his new album AIN’T NO DAMN WAY! via RCA Records. The album is an intentional return to KAYTRANADA’s dance music roots, iterating on the catalog he’s built as one of the genre’s leading innovators. The new album proves KAYTRANADA’s signature club beats to be boundless. Across these songs, he weaves in samples from the likes of TLC, J Dilla, Latrelle, Tangerine Dream and more, bringing each into his world and translating them to the universality of the dancefloor. AIN’T NO DAMN WAY! is the producer’s first offering of original music since his Grammy-nominated 2024 album TIMELESS, which he followed by releasing the instrumental version of the album earlier this year.
TIMELESS cemented KAYTRANADA as one of dance music’s premiere global stars, receiving praise from the likes of DJ Mag, The FADER, HYPEBEAST, NPR, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone and many more, with Rolling Stone proclaiming, “His forward-thinking production has subtly shifted the sound of pop culture.” His renowned and electric live show earned him a spot opening for The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn tour this Summer and a marquee set at HARD Summer in LA earlier this month.
