Lil Double 0 shares new EP ‘Agent 0’
Following the release of last week’s “Ace V2” (feat. LUCKI), Memphis rapper Lil Double 0 has just shared his second body of work of 2025, Agent 0 –– out now. The 7-track EP arrives bracketed by a strong flurry of singles including “Johnny Test”, “Money Showers”(feat. Lil Gotit and Money Musik), and “Cheese and Dope”. Agent 0 continues to highlight Lil Double 0‘s signature Southern cadences, engaging narratives, and quick-witted songwriting.
Following suit with previous projects, the EP is coded with odes to the world’s most famous spy, James Bond, whose saga partially influenced Double 0’s namesake. The Memphis native shows off his sharp ear for production across the 7-track EP, selecting some of his strongest beats to date, with each track amplifying his slippery drawl and commanding delivery. Agent 0 kicks off a new chapter in Lil Double 0‘s catalog –– the first installment in a three-part series set to unfold over the summer, further positioning him as one of rap’s most consistent and skilled voices this year.
Since the start of the 2020s, Memphis has nurtured one of the hottest rap scenes in the country, with Lil Double 0being an immediate standout. He has carved out a distinct lane in the southern rap scene, fusing raw storytelling with sleek trap production. After signing to Future’s Freebandz label in 2021, the Tennessee native has steadily built one of the most compelling catalogs in underground rap. His 2022 debut Walk Down World was fueled by standout cuts like “Fight That Switch (Walk)”(feat EST Gee) and “Who You Killed”. With co-signs and collaborations from labelmate Future on “U Selling Dope” and “Walk Down”, as well as joint tracks with some of southern rap’s heaviest hitters –– Nardo Wick, and Pooh Shiesty –– Double 0 has firmly established himself as one of the South’s fastest-rising voices. In 2024, he released Freebirdz, a mixtape that signaled a new chapter in his artistry, stepping away from feature-heavy records to deliver an almost entirely solo effort that highlights his growth and confidence as a standalone force.
