Max McGreevy and Steven Fisk occupied the top two spots on the final leaderboard at last week’s Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS, took over the top two positions on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, and achieved #TOURBound status, as announced Monday by the Korn Ferry Tour.

McGreevy, a 2022 FedExCup Playoffs qualifier, is returning to the PGA TOUR, having previously graduated from the Korn Ferry Tour upon conclusion of the 2020-21 season. Fisk, who has yet to make a PGA TOUR start, will be a TOUR rookie in 2025.

Fisk moved to No. 1 on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Points List and clinched #TOURBound status with a runner-up finish Sunday at the Memorial Health Championship, which marked his second runner-up finish of the season. The 27-year-old Fisk previously settled for a co-runner-up finish at the LECOM Suncoast Classic, as Tim Widing (already #TOURBound) defeated both Fisk and Patrick Cover in a three-way playoff. Fisk also won the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club in his native Georgia earlier this year.

“It’s not something that I feel like I’ve been ready for in the past,” Fisk said in a #TOURBound story published on PGATOUR.com. “I actually spoke to my wife and family towards the end of last season, saying if I were to have a great finish to 2023, maybe getting on the PGA TOUR is not something I was ready for. And now… I feel like it’s something that I’m ready to do.”

A native of Atlanta, Fisk grew up in Stockbridge, Georgia. Around the time Fisk was 4 or 5 years old, his father, Christopher, built Rum Creek Golf, a nine-hole par-3 course with a driving range and putting green in the family’s hometown. Fisk developed a unique grip as he played and practiced for hours upon hours at Rum Creek Golf.

“If you ask anybody else, my grip probably sucks,” Fisk said. “But I’ve always done it this way. I’ve tried to tinker with it over the years with my coach. It’s just not something I’ve ever been able to get comfortable with. I figured, if I’m going to have success in this game, I’m going to do it my way and be stubborn, and do everything I can to make myself the best player I can be and rely on some of my natural instincts.”

Fisk eventually played collegiately at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, a little under 200 miles from his hometown. In four seasons at Georgia Southern, Fisk won nine times and finished runner-up to individual medalist Matthew Wolff at the 2019 NCAA Championship. As a senior, Fisk recorded one of the lowest single-season scoring averages in NCAA Division I history (69.03) across the 2018-19 season.

Fisk turned professional in 2019 and earned Korn Ferry Tour membership for the first time ahead of the 2022 season. Fisk finished No. 119 on the 2022 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, but retained membership with a T10 finish at Final Stage of the 2022 Korn Ferry Tour Qualifying Tournament (now PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry). Last season, Fisk finished No. 64 on the 2023 Points List, earning fully exempt membership for 2024.

Fisk leads the Korn Ferry Tour with five top-four finishes this season, three of which have come in his last four starts (T4/UNC Health Championship, 3rd/Compliance Solutions Championship, 2nd/Memorial Health Championship).

McGreevy, a native of Edmond, Oklahoma, fell back to the Korn Ferry Tour after a No. 177 finish in the 2022-23 FedExCup Fall standings. The University of Oklahoma alum has a Tour-leading six top-10s this season, four of which are top-three finishes.

“It’s been seven years for me now (as a pro), and I have had a lot of success, but there’s going to be lows,” McGreevy said Sunday evening. “Fortunately, I’m riding the biggest high of my life after finding out I’m going to have a little girl, winning this golf tournament. I’m going to enjoy this so much with my wife and my family… I can’t put into words these last couple weeks, last couple months.”

McGreevy’s win at the Memorial Health Championship marked his second career Korn Ferry Tour victory, as he previously won the 2020 Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper. McGreevy eventually finished the 2020-21 season with seven top-10s across 41 starts en route to PGA TOUR membership.

Fisk and McGreevy, the only players with four top-three finishes on Tour this season, are separated by 78 points (equal to a finish of ninth or higher in any of the 22 events preceding the Korn Ferry Tour Finals), while McGreevy is less than half a point ahead of No. 3 Tim Widing.

The top 30 players on the final 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Points List will earn PGA TOUR membership for the 2025 season, but the player who finishes No. 1 earns fully exempt membership and exemptions for the 2025 PLAYERS Championship and 2025 U.S. Open.

The 2024 Korn Ferry Tour season continues next week with The Ascendant presented by Blue, the 17th of 26 scheduled events.

The finalization of the points list and awarding of the 30 PGA TOUR cards will take place upon conclusion of the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance, scheduled for October 3-6 at French Lick Golf Resort in French Lick, Indiana.
