Mecum Auctions is set to return to The Lone Star State April 3-5 for Mecum Houston 2025, the first of two auctions in Texas this year. Several collections will be highlighted at Mecum Houston, and an estimated 1,000 vehicles will cross the auction block at the NRG Center. The gates to the auction open at 8 a.m. daily, with Road Art® starting at 9 a.m. and the car auction at 10 a.m. The auction will be live on ESPN+ Friday and Saturday beginning at noon CT for six hours of live auction coverage each day.

A host of impressive cars are making their way to Houston for Mecum Houston 2025, including a 1971 Chevrolet Corvette LS6 Convertible (Lot S180) that’s one of just 188 produced. This Corvette is equipped with a 454/425 HP V-8 engine and is finished in Steel Cities Gray. A contrastingly custom Corvette from 1980 (Lot F246) will also be offered, this one showing off an exceptionally unique body shape and No. 5 roundels for a race-car appeal. A rare 4-speed V-Code 1970 Plymouth Superbird (Lot S212) from The Scott Lougheed Collection will be offered at no reserve, as will a 1929 Ford Model A Town Sedan (Lot S217).

There is no shortage of customs headed for the block in Houston, with others including a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback (Lot S208) that’s the product of a rotisserie build and boasts an array of performance upgrades. Additional one-of-a-kind automotive all-stars include a 2013 Insanity Cushman Custom (T30) that required over 2,000 hours of metalwork to complete and a 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 (Lot S109) built to replicate Doc Brown’s DeLorean time machine from the movie “Back to the Future.”

The Houston-bound Mile High collection showcases a variety of low-mileage off-road vehicles, heavy-duty trucks and both modern and classic American muscle. Standouts from the collection include a 2023 Ford Bronco “King of the Hammers” Edition (Lot S142) with only 299 miles on the odometer, a 2014 Ford F150 SVT Raptor Roush Pickup (Lot S136) with 1,600 miles and a 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback (Lot S139). The Bailey Car Collection is also heading for Houston and showcases the beauty of classic Mopar and muscle cars with a range of unrestored originals and other showstoppers. Among them are a rare 1969 Dodge Daytona (Lot F164) and an unrestored 1977 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham (Lot F166).
