MULTI-PLATINUM 8X- TIME GRAMMY®-NOMINATED R&B GLOBAL SUPERSTAR GIVĒON DELIVERS NEW DELUXE ALBUM “‘BELOVED ACT II’”

GIVĒON, New Music, Music, Entertainment News, Singer, Songwriter

After an internationally heralded year in which GIVĒON released his critically-acclaimed new album BELOVED, sold out venues across the world—like NYC’s Madison Square Garden and Paris’s Adidas Arena—on the DEAR BELOVED, THE TOUR in support of it, and further established himself as one of the world’s preeminent R&B icons – the 8x-time GRAMMY® nominee decided that he’s not quite finished just yet.

BELOVED ACT II, the oft-teased and hotly-coveted deluxe edition of GIVĒON’s third studio album, is now available. The set adds five-new songs to the Long Beach native’s tightly-wrapped 14- song standard edition—highlighted by the uptempo new single “JEZEBEL”—and you can stream the entire 19-track offering here.

The standard edition of BELOVED, void of any guest features, gives way to a more collaborative environment on BELOVED ACT II, which welcomes GRAMMY® winners Kehlani and Leon Thomas, as well as nominee Teddy Swims and Sasha Keable for seamless additions to the orchestral landscape of BELOVED, including a remix of fan-favorite “Keeper” featuring Swims. Kehlani joins GIVĒON for a mellifluous duet about a romantic soul tie, while he and Leon Thomas regretfully chastise themselves for not being more shrewd about a complicated situation. On “Replica,” Keable, who supported the European leg of GIVĒON’s internationally sensational DEAR BELOVED, THE TOUR, joins him for a wistful anthem about misaligned love.

The video for “JEZEBEL,” directed by Loris Russier adds a snazzier element to the deliberate tempos of BELOVED and BELOVED ACT II, continuing with production from the one and only Sevn Thomas for a slightly chippier rhythm and melody that GIVĒON navigates effortlessly. The through line he’s drawn since “TWENTIES,” involving a romantic interest that is seamlessly woven into his visual storylines, is present here again on “JEZEBEL,” exemplary of the intention exercised throughout the BELOVED campaign.

BELOVED, GIVĒON’s third studio album, stopped the R&B world dead in its tracks upon its 2025 release. The album earned GIVĒON his fourth Billboard Hot 100 hit, and earned a GRAMMY® nomination for “Best R&B Album.” The resulting tour, DEAR BELOVED, THE TOUR, sold-out all of its dates, both domestic and international, including four dates in Australia, and stops in New Zealand, The UK, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and more, as GIVĒON delivered a bespoke experience tailored specifically for the style of R&B that drove BELOVED and spoke a universal language to concertgoers.

“How this album is going to translate to the live show – I think it’s going to be magical,” GIVĒON told Rolling Stone last summer. “Because the album was made live, so it’s made to be performed live.” After a landmark 30-plus date international run, DEAR BELOVED, THE TOUR continues to impact the festival circuit, and will land on global stages at Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and The Netherlands’ North Sea Jazz Festival in July.

The album, celebrated by critics and fans worldwide, helped GIVĒON usher in an era of craftsmanship that he brought to stages “small” and large, like NPR’s Tiny Desk and last month, the Coachella main stage, the latter of which the singer “shut down,” according to V magazine, an experience that left the singer himself in awe. “Just standing there and seeing how many people were in front of the stage. That will never feel normal,” Giveon told V mag. “You pour yourself into creating something, and then thousands of people are standing in a desert to hear it and sing along with you.” GIVĒON’s second year in gracing the stage in Coachella Valley was punctuated with a guest appearance from Kehlani during the first weekend, a foreshadowing of her feature on BELOVED II.

GIVĒON’s banner year was celebrated with a cover of Justsmile magazine, which was shot on location on set of his new video, “JEZEBEL.” Of the sleek and soulful atmosphere of BELOVED, GIVĒON told the magazine, “‘I’m at this place where I value structure. I value history. I value tradition.”

Following the global success of the trek, GIVĒON is funneling that energy transfer into an extension of the deeply expressive and lamenting BELOVED, addressing even more of the themes that made the original 14-song set one of the year’s most soul-baring and evocative R&B releases yet.
