Myke Towers’ unstoppable rise continues to reinforce his influence in global music. This week, the Puerto Rican star earned seven nominations at the 2025 Tu Música Urbano Awards, in a year where his artistic vision, lyrical precision, and strategic collaborations have pushed him to the forefront of the music conversation.

His latest album La Pantera Negra, widely praised for its aesthetic ambition and storytelling, has been nominated for Album of the Year – Male Artist, positioning it as one of the most relevant bodies of work in the past year. The project not only marks a return to his sonic roots but also serves as an anchor for collaborations that are reshaping the boundaries of urban pop and reggaeton.

Towers is also nominated for Artist of the Year, a distinction that highlights not only his consistency in delivering global hits but his ability to drive the market across multiple fronts: streaming, radio, collaborations, and international touring.

Among the most notable categories is Collaboration of the Year, where his track “Adivino” with Bad Bunny stands out—a production that has challenged genre formulas and opened new pathways for high-caliber urban music. The nomination underscores the impact of a carefully orchestrated partnership that continues to break records in numbers, reach, and artistic direction.

His talent for integrating into group efforts is recognized in the Song of the Year – Duo or Group category for “LaRanger,” alongside The Academy, Segunda Misión, and key figures such as Justin Quiles, Sech, Lenny Tavárez, Dalex, and Dímelo Flow. The track has been celebrated for its collective vision and a production that fuses melodic precision with streetwise storytelling.

In the pop realm, “Degenere”—his unexpected and sophisticated duet with benny blanco—earned him a nomination for Pop Song, expanding his sonic reach to new audiences without losing his lyrical essence. This nomination proves that Myke doesn’t just inhabit reggaeton: he expands it, subverts it, and takes it to uncharted territory.

On the other hand, his collaboration on “Nueva Era” with Argentine artist Duki stands out, nominated for Best Trap Song. Although the track belongs to Duki’s repertoire, Myke’s powerful lyrical presence and signature flow elevate the collaboration into one of the genre’s most representative tracks of the past year, reaffirming his position as one of the leading figures in the global urban movement.

Lastly, “Maquillaje Remix”— featuring Renn, Nio García, and Yexel—is nominated for Remix of the Year, spotlighting Towers’ sharp instincts in selecting collaborations and transforming them into platforms for rhythmic innovation.

This new chapter adds to a season of undeniable achievements: over 264 million global streams with “Degenere” alone, multiple multi-platinum certifications by the RIAA, a sold-out international tour, and cover features in prestigious outlets such as Rolling Stone en Español and Billboard Latino.

Myke Towers isn’t just part of the conversation—he’s writing it in real time
