Oliver Tree Shuts Down Mission Ballroom in Denver, CO with Openers Sueco and 347Aidan

Walking up to Mission Ballroom on a very above average warm March night that felt more like a late spring evening, the first thing you saw was a several persons wide line wrapping around the corner of the building, hundreds of Oliver Tree fans patiently waiting for those doors to open in another 15 minutes. You could feel people’s excitement, while waiting you could look around and notice all the Bell Bottom Jeans, funky hats and Oliver Tree hairstyles in the line. As the doors opened, the crowd let out a loud cheer and started to make their way inside.
Although things got started about 15 minutes later than expected, 347Aidan took the stage to ignite the night with a quick 20-minute set full of tunes that set the mood early. Along with moody lighting he covered every inch of the stage engaging the audience and getting them to sing along with one of his new songs, teaching them the words as he sang it.

After a quick intermission, Sueco took over the stage with his neon sign behind him he walked up and down the stage, jumped into the pit and even climbed over the rail and got involved in the mosh pit himself. He covered so much area over such a short amount of time, he even noted himself the altitude was getting to him a bit since he had to catch his breath from his energetic performance. At one point he left the stage to bring out a “special guest” which turned out to be himself dressed as Oliver Tree. He ended his set by tossing out some merch to the crowd, including his hat that he wore on stage, and a pair of drumsticks he used for a quick drum solo.

The energy was rising during the next intermission as the crowd was singing along to the house music playing over the speakers, patiently waiting for Oliver Tree to take the stage as his crew got it set up. He ran out with is baggy jeans, red sunglasses and a haircut that words truly can’t describe, a combination between a bowl cut and a mullet, a “bowlet” if you want to call it that. He certainly is a fashion icon. Not just with his original outfit, but with his several outfit changes throughout the night, from a basketball jersey to a cowboy outfit.

He knows how to keep the show interesting, from bringing out a special guest from a different planet, to riding a cow or playing the worlds biggest guitar, you really must wonder where he comes up with this stuff. He flexed on the crowd with his scooter skills as he popped a trick after telling the story of how he broke both of his wrists going down a 45-meter ramp. Sueco ran out on stage dressed as Oliver Tree’s old look and the two started a little “scuffle” rolling around on stage before a shirtless Sueco grabbed the mic.
As the night came to an end, chants for “one more song” rang throughout the venue as the house lights
had not yet come on. Clearly a sign that he was not yet done with us.
He played his encore and left the stage as the crowd left please and certainly satisfied with the
rollercoaster of a night they had just been taken on.
