PEPE AGUILAR SURPRISES AS SPECIAL GUEST OF JORGE MEDINA AND JOSI CUEN DURING “JUNTOS” AT AUDITORIO NACIONAL

After a week marked by new recognitions and major moments with audiences, Pepe Aguilar took the stage at Auditorio Nacional on the night of September 17 as a special guest of Jorge Medina and Josi Cuen during one of the performances of their successful Juntos tour. The surprise appearance came just days after his successful performance during the Fiestas Patrias celebrations in Morelia, Michoacán, and after receiving a new 2026 Latin GRAMMY® nomination, adding another chapter to a particularly relevant moment in the artist’s career.

During his appearance, Pepe Aguilar performed alongside Jorge Medina and Josi Cuen on “Triste Recuerdo,” “Puño de Tierra,” “Miedo” and “Por Mujeres Como Tú.” The latter, one of Aguilar’s most iconic classics, was recently included by Billboard in its editorial ranking “The 50 Best Mariachi Songs of All Time, Ranked,” where it placed at No. 11. The recognition not only underscores the enduring relevance of one of Pepe Aguilar’s most emblematic songs, but also the place his body of work continues to hold within Mexico’s cultural and musical memory.

The evening brought together three careers that have each left their own mark on regional Mexican music.
