QUAVO ANNOUNCES HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NEW ALBUM QRÖMELIFE SLATED FOR RELEASE OCTOBER 2
GRAMMY-nominated recording artist Quavo has officially announced his highly anticipated Pharrell Williams-executive-produced album, QRÖMELIFE, will arrive October 2nd. Alongside the announcement, Quavo has released the project’s latest single, “Backwards”, featuring T.I.. The hip-hop megastar first premiered the track in his hometown of Atlanta last week when he opened the night with a live performance of the song at WWE’s Sunday Night Main Event.
“Backwards” brings together two generations of Atlanta royalty as Quavo and T.I. trade verses highlighting the exhilarating nightlife of the city. The track’s official music video, executive produced by Daps and directed by Supo Supreme, will premiere today at 3pm EST, bringing the two hometown icons together for a standout performance in front of a massive Atlanta-inspired flag that pays tribute to the city and its deep-rooted hip-hop legacy. Playing off the track’s title, the visual builds around striking choreography and surreal effects, with dancers moving across the floor and ceiling, bodies multiplying across the frame, and scenes appearing to move in reverse.
The road to QRÖMELIFE has already underscored the breadth of Quavo’s reach. Executive produced by Pharrell Williams, the forthcoming album brings together the experiences, influence, and perspective Quavo has accumulated throughout his journey, channeling them into a body of work built for longevity.
