Only a couple of days ago, the 2x Latin GRAMMY winner who boasts a career total of 15 nominations, was announced as one of the confirmed hosts at the 24th annual Latin GRAMMY awards, which will take place on November 16th in Sevilla, Spain. This year, Sebastián Yatra is nominated in the category of “Best Pop Song” with his beautiful ballad, “Contigo,” featuring Pablo Alborán.
Similarly, this past weekend, Sebastián Yatra headlined the opening ceremony of the 2023 Santiago Pan American Games. The inaugural event took place on Friday, October 20th, in the Chilean National Stadium, where more than 38,000 people and athletes from around the world sang and danced to the internationally adored Colombian-American artist’s hits. During his show, Sebastián Yatra performed a set of mega hits that have permeated music fans across the globe, including “Pareja del Año,” fan-favorite “Traicionera,” his latest feel-good pop love song “Energía Bacana,” the recently certified Latin Platinum summer-smash “VAGABUNDO” and the Latin GRAMMY award winning and 8x Latin Platinum smash “Tacones Rojos.” The set enlivened the audience at the most prominent sporting venue in the country.
During Yatra’s visit to Chile, the artist visited Villa Olímpica, during which he conducted activities with the athletes, where he met with Colombian cyclist, Mariana Pajón, the greatest Olympian athlete from his country, holding 2 Gold medals and 1 Silver medal to date and Gabriela Agúndez, a Mexican Olympian who contributed her motivation and ultimate success at the Pan American Games to meeting Yatra (read here), as well as several accredited media outlets, who followed closely the artist’s every move.
The multiplatinum Latin global sensation’s most recent release is “Energía Bacana,” a love song he released with great success in September of this year, is joined by a video featuring the renowned Spanish model and entrepreneur, Georgina Rodríguez. The song already has over 20 million streams.
