Last night, global superstar Shakira, recently named by Billboard as the greatest Latin female artist of all time, closed the first leg of her record-breaking Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour with a second sold out electrifying show at Estadio Atanasio Girardot in Medellín, Colombia. This triumph landed on the heels of securing the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Tours chart for the first time in her career, becoming the first Latin female artist to achieve this milestone.

It was a weekend of celebration, Shakira was joined on stage by longtime collaborators: Maluma, for a fiery salsa version of “Chantaje;” Carlos Vives, with their beloved anthem “La Bicicleta;” and Luis Fernando Ochoa, for a moving acoustic performance of “Antología,” the song they co-wrote that defined a generation.

Throughout the shows, Shakira dazzled with multiple costume changes, wearing custom pieces by Zuhair Murad, Versace, Guarav Gupta, and Jawara Alleyne, along with exclusive Tiffany & Co. Elsa Peretti® Bone cuffs, crafted for the first time exclusively for the artist in platinum with pavé diamonds and hand-engraved with the tour’s name.

Her setlist featured fan favorites from across her legendary catalog, including “Hips Don’t Lie,” “She Wolf,” “Antología,” “Waka Waka,” and more, as well as standout tracks from her GRAMMY-winning album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, including “Session 53,” “TQG,” “Monotonía,” and “Te Felicito.”

After much anticipation, the tour first launched on Tuesday, February 11, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at Estádio Nilton Santos, and continued with sold-out shows in every city including Bogota, Buenos Aires, Guadalajara, and more.

Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour LATAM Leg Highlights:

●       25 stadium performances

●   Over 1.3M attendees

●      7 sold-out stadium shows in Mexico City, making her the first artist to achieve this feat at the venue

●      First artist in Colombian history to perform in 6 stadiums across the country

With 25 concerts across 11 stadiums throughout Latin America, the Barranquilla-born icon brought more than 1.3 million fans together. The tour has also made a significant economic impact across Latin America, particularly in Mexico, where her return drew an incredible 455,000 fans to Estadio GNP Seguros. The shows generated a major boost to the local economy, with Mexico’s Ministry of Tourism reporting hotel occupancy in the capital reaching 66% during her tour dates, a 5% increase over the typical average. In Colombia, over 18,500 jobs were created, and hotel occupancy rates soared to 95% in cities like Barranquilla, Medellín, and Bogotá.

It also sparked major travel activity, with a 41.5% increase in flight demand and a 47% spike in accommodation searches across platforms like Despegar. In Argentina, searches to attend the show skyrocketed by 400%, which provided proof of the unmatched anticipation surrounding her return.

Next month, Shakira kicks off the North American leg of her tour on Tuesday, May 13 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC. She’s promised massive surprises including a special appearance by Wyclef Jean in Charlotte and Boston, reuniting for their iconic hit Hips Don’t Lie. The tour will hit cities like Montreal, Detroit, Orlando, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and more. Due to overwhelming demand, second shows were recently added in New Jersey (MetLife Stadium) and Miami (Hard Rock Stadium).

Following the North America leg, Shakira will return to Mexico for 13 encore performances in the region, added recently due to overwhelming fan demand.
