SHAKIRA ANNOUNCES PITBULL AS SPECIAL GUEST ON UPCOMING NEW JERSEY DATE
Global icon Shakira has just revealed that international hitmaker Pitbull will join her as a very special guest for a second electrifying night at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Friday, May 16. The highly anticipated performance will mark a standout moment on her critically acclaimed Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.
The North American leg follows Shakira’s wildly successful stadium run through Latin America, where she performed 25 shows across 11 stadiums and drew more than 1.3 million fans. The Barranquilla-born icon made history in Mexico City with an unprecedented seven-show run at Estadio GNP Seguros—the most by any artist at the venue. The tour also marked Shakira’s long-awaited return to her hometown of Barranquilla, where she performed for the first time in 19 years. She went on to become the first artist in Colombian history to play five different stadiums across the country.
Last month, Shakira secured the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Tours chart for the first time in her career, becoming the first Latin female artist to achieve this milestone. She also debuted on Pollstar’s 2025 Artist Power Index following the launch of her tour and has since climbed to the top of their LIVE75 chart, further cementing her global impact.
Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour is a tribute to Shakira’s popular music, with a look toward the future. Inspired by her album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, this tour promotes empowerment and strength, which Shakira seeks to convey to multiple generations of fans — those who have never seen her live and those who have been waiting for her return for many years.
