The Veils stopped on their “…And Out Of The Void Came Love“-Tour in Berlin at Frannz. The evening was started by their support Nana M. Rose.
Rotterdam-based singer-songwriter offered an angelic-like performance, which was rounded off by her extravagant stage dress. Nana M. Rose offered the crowd fascinating and intimate ballads accompanied by the piano, which were also carried by her mesmerizing voice. With which she captivated the audience and made them listen and watch spellbound. Close to the end of her set she switched with the pianist and played a few songs on her own on the instrument.

The mood switched as The Veils entered the stage and started their set, which was comparatively faster and more stirring, in another way than the soulful performance of the support. The six band members, including singer Finn Andrews, filled the stage of the venue almost completely. Some die-hard fans could be found in the first rows, they let loose with the first note and joined in with the Kiwi/English band dancing and singing along through the whole set. The only shirt from the merch table could also be seen on some fans shortly after entering the room and finding their place front of the stage. Where there was some air in the room before, it was neatly filled during their set.

With the focus mostly on the latest album …And Out Of The Void Came Love, of course, the setlist was also mixed with some older songs of older albums, more popular and fan-favorite songs like “Birds” from Time Stays We Go and “Jesus for the Jugular” from Nux Vomica, the latter also was the last song of the evening and rounded off their set. For “The Tide That Left and Never Came Back” as the first song of the encore, singer Finn Andrews offered a solo-performance. As the show came to its end, the room was still energetic, fans and band giving their all and were later left off into the night, wanting more.
