Ty Segall Announces Fire Relief Benefit Compilation, L.A. RECOVERS

Ty Segall announces L.A. RECOVERS, a benefit compilation for Los Angeles fire relief and recovery funds, available for pre-order now here. All proceeds will go directly to One Voice LA – Fire Relief Fund and California Black Freedom Fund – Black LA Relief & Recovery Fund.

L.A. RECOVERS features exclusive, unreleased covers by Ty, KingTuff,  White Fence, No Age, Charles Moothart, Jack Name, Redd Kross, Emmett Kelly, Shannon & The Clams, ShannonLay, nThe Intelligence, Meatbodies, and Mikal Cronin. Each artist covered and is covered by another contributor to the compilation with names drawn out of a hat to determine which artist covered which other artist.

The idea of doing a comp turned into friends covering each other and we thought that would be a perfect thing to do for some L.A. fire relief charity fundraising. One thing was important –  that everyone involved needed to have spent creative time living in L.A. It’s been very fun for everyone involved to cover each other’s music! – Ty Segall

Released by Classic Master Sound Recordings, a DIY label started by Ty and Denée Segall in 2021, L.A. RECOVERS will be available exclusively as a physical vinyl LP and will be pressed only once by Good Neighbor.

Donate to One Voice LA – Fire Relief Fund

The One Voice Fire Relief Fund provides temporary financial support to pay rent, food and other necessities as unemployed service workers regain employment.
Donate to California Black Freedom Fund – Black LA Relief & Recovery Fund

The Black LA Relief & Recovery Fund supports community organizations working on the ground to meet the immediate and long-term needs of Black communities impacted by the wildfires in Los Angeles County. Launched by the California Black Freedom Fund in partnership with the California Community Foundation, this fund is dedicated to a community-led and centered approach to equitable recovery.L.A.
