Vikings Announce Roster Moves
Jonathan Bullard (6-3, 290), who is entering his seventh NFL season in 2022, signs with the Minnesota Vikings. He has appeared in 70 career games with 15 starts during tenures with the Chicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons. For his career, Bullard has totaled 113 tackles (60 solo), 3.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, 15 quarterback hurries, five passes defensed and one forced fumble. The Shelby, NC native originally entered the NFL as a third-round draft pick (72nd overall) of the Chicago Bears in the 2016 NFL Draft. Bullard would appear in 14 games as a rookie and spent the first three seasons (2016-18) of his NFL career in Chicago. Bullard started a career-high nine games with the Cardinals in 2019 where he also recorded a career-high in sacks (1.5), tackles for loss (4) and quarterback hurries (7). Bullard played collegiately at Florida where he was a five-star recruit and the top-ranked defensive end in his class. During his time in Gainesville, Bullard would earn All-American and All-SEC honors along with being a semifinalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award. Vikings Defensive Line Coach Chris Rumph, who held the same title with the Gators in 2015, coached Bullard at Florida during his final collegiate season.
