WOESUM SHARES NEW REWORK OF “HOWMANYDAYS?” FEATURING JACKZEBRA AND DJ ESS

Woesum, New Music, Music,

Fresh off a 13-date headline run across Europe and Asia to promote the March release of his fourth project, Protected, Swedish super producer Woesum returns with a new rework of “HowManyDays?” featuring Jackzebra and DJEss. He also announced the upcoming release of Protected V2, a project reimagining the original EP with new contributions from HixxyJoonGloomEuroheadKamixloLaurenDufus, and Skinon Skin. Protected saw him tapping back into the trance, house, and eurodance that soundtracked his youth, weaving those influences together with his signature cloud-rap and plugg style. The result is a boundary-pushing experience explained by Office Magazine as sounding “like the end of something and the beginning of something else at once”. On the maximalist, synth and 808 heavy reworking of “HowManyDays?”, Chengdu-born rapper Jackzebra and underground producer DJEss join forces, providing muddy, autotuned vocals and a rap-forward production to the already stacked track. Protected V2 promises a collaborative reimagining, connecting Woesum’s sound with a wide range of voices from across the global electronic scene.

Protected follows last year’s Paradise Tree EP and his 2021 debut album Blue Summer, which garnered widespread praise and featured collaborations with BladeeYung LeanOklou, and more. Renowned for his contributions to projects such as evilgiane’s #HEAVENSGATE vol. 1Kamixlo’s debut album Cicatriz, and Pretty Sick’s Streetwise, Woesum has also played a crucial role in shaping the sound of influential music collectives Drain Gang and Sad Boys. Initially connected with Drain Gang and Sad Boys founding members Bladee, Yung LeanEcco2k, and Thaiboy Digital through Sweden’s underground rap scene, Woesum quickly became a go-to producer for the collective. His production is heard on last Bladee’s masterpiece album Cold Visions and Yung Lean’s critically-acclaimed 2022 mixtape Stardust, projects that helped cement his reputation as an innovative force in both the rap and electronic music scenes.
