DIY wordsmith and Seattle hometown hero Yonny returns with the Deluxe Edition of his breakthrough sophomore project Everywhere, But Always. With three brand-new tracks, including collaborations with Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Ambré and acclaimed Seattle producer Sango (Drake, Frank Ocean, Bryson Tiller), Yonny delivers the definitive version of the album that’s shaping the next chapter of Seattle rap.
On “I Am,” Yonny strips it down, pairing raw lyricism with airy acoustic strums, a statement of self-acceptance and resilience. The Ambré-assisted remix of “Blue Door” reimagines the fan favorite, her buttery vocals sliding against Yonny’s cadences with playful confidence. Meanwhile, the soaring anthem “Jumbo Jet” (feat. Sango), a Seattle-to-Seattle collaboration years in the making, has already received support from DSPs, including being the cover of Amazon’s Break Through Hip-Hop playlist.
2025 has proven to be Yonny’s takeoff moment. His original Everywhere, But Always (2024) carved out Seattle’s modern anthem with “City In Motion” (3M+ streams) and earned wide praise from The Seattle Times, Seattle Met, Ebro Darden, and On The Radar Radio. His campaign with Sounders FC x Hometown cemented his position as a rising voice in both music and culture, while Mundane Magazine hailed him as “a voice that speaks for a city often overlooked—putting Seattle on the map.”
Earlier this month, Yonny returned home to headline an intimate live jazz performance in Seattle, celebrating the one-year anniversary of Everywhere, But Always. Backed by a full band, the night underscored his commitment to the city that raised him and the community that fuels his art.
Yonny first cut his teeth on his project, Ghetto Sunset and “SK[I]NCARE” with Oble Reed, establishing himself as a storyteller unafraid to mix vulnerability with sharp wordplay.
