We started the night with the great Band “Driveways”,
Driveways consists of three members, Pat Finnegan, Ryan Passariello, and Derek Serino. All three founding members have grown up with the dream of making their way through the airwaves with punctuating sound and a workspace with unlimited growth. So far, they’re making themselves known with their work. Their Distinct blend of sound of Pop Punk to post Hardcore made their set in Chicago very energetic and hyped the crowd up for the later performances. They played a wide variation of Old crowd favorites to their newest releases.

The Chicago Crowd really fed off their energy from the high tempo beat to the clean vocals that where complimented well from the Screams that would be included in some of their songs. The vibe given off was a bit of a mix of Blink 182 to New Found Glory. Which we can tell they had huge influence on their sound. The crowd started to get more energetic and started moshing to crowd surfing. The Energy Driveways put out was definitely a perfect fit to start the night.
Bilmuri was up next! The crowd began to move up and you could feel the excitement in the room venue.
Bilmuri consisted of Johnny Franck, whom previously worked on Attack, Attack as their rhythm guitarist. The band is Johnny’s Project to make an impact to the scene with the Genre bending sound that came elevated them into the spotlight. Bilmuri came in hot with the latest Song “Better Hell” That had the crowd jumping almost instantly. The high energy and excitement bled through to everyone as the whole building shook singing along to the Country/metal sound bilmuri has perfected to make the two worlds combine in an almost seamless way imaginable. From the funny outburst of comments, he’s known for to the random quotes of current pop culture occurrences. The vibe was well set to be an amazing night.

From old to new the night was full of incredible songs that had the crowd wanting more. It was a great touch when Johnny stopped and introduce his parents to the Chicago crowd and thanked them for letting him chase his dream of becoming a musician and took the time to also thank the crowd for listening to the music he put out. He brought a spotlight on how important music was to his mental health and how this project was a way to express his feelings and he loved how much everyone resonate with his experiences. It’s a wonderful touch when artist have a hear to heart with the crowd as it humanizes the artist and makes them personable that they can relate to the artist in more that just being a fan.
Truly an incredible show to have been a part of from start to end. No wonder his popularity is rising as the he was expressing how fast this show was starting to sell out in other stops! The next time Tour he will be part of is the biggest opportunity for Bilmuri to date with the chance of opening up in Europe with the super star band Sleep token for their EU leg of the world tour. After tonight I can confidently say they it was well earned opportunity and its incredible to see such talent.
